RIVER BOARDS
Monday 11/15/21 The river boards seem to be very popular since introducing them last week! I will be working on a new batch this week and will post pictures as they progress. Check back by the end of the week. They take about a week to complete, with the next batch going out before the end of November.
Tuesday 11/16/21 Six molds poured this evening. They should be finished in a week once the epoxy sets and the boards are sanded and treated. Feel free to reserve one from this batch if you can see past the clamps and braces and see one that you like (they're labeled if you zoom in). #1 will have an epoxy handle. The others will be similar to those shown below the composite photo.
Thursday, 11/18/21 The epoxy is setting up nicely. You need to use some imagination to visualize them looking as good as the ones below this picture. Boards come out of the molds Saturday am, and then it's time to plane off the excess epoxy, sand the surfaces, finish with mineral oil and wax, and finally apply the handles.
Friday 11/19/21 Boards removed from molds, and faces planed. Sanding and finish this weekend!
Monday 11/22/21 Just about finished with latest batch, and will start another batch this upcoming weekend after awakening from Thursday's anticipated extended food coma.
Tuesday 11/23/21 Latest batch completed and nearly sold out. Another batch will be started this week.
Sunday 11/28/21 Several more river charcuterie boards of various designs and sizes incubating. Should be ready for finishing by next weekend.
12/2/21 Latest batch of river epoxy charcuterie boards nearly complete. Unfinished photos below. stainless steel handles and rubber feet will be added to the rectangular walnut boards (See images of previously sold boards below).
